Location: Battell Park, Mishawaka Indiana
Sunday, May 4th | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
A soft space to read, connect, and be in community.
Join us for the very first Read Outta Line—a monthly gathering for women who love books, crave connection, and want to be part of something simple, creative, and real.
Whether you're an introverted reader, a small business owner, or just someone who enjoys being outdoors with good people, this afternoon is designed to feel like a breath of fresh air.
What to Expect:
1:00 – 1:15 PM
Arrival + Blanket Setup
Find your spot in the grass, get cozy, and settle into the vibe.
1:15 – 1:45 PM
Welcome + Group Introductions
We’ll kick things off with a short speech about why we’re here and what Read Outta Line is all about. Then we’ll go around the circle and invite everyone to share a little about themselves—your name, what you do or love, and what brought you here today. It's a simple way to break the ice and connect.
1:45 – 2:45 PM
Open Hour: Wander, Mingle & Book Swap
Use this time to move around, chat with someone new, snap a few selfies at the Photo Op station, and browse the Book Swap Table. Bring up to 5 gently-loved books you’re ready to pass on—feel free to take what speaks to you! All unclaimed books will be donated to local Little Free Libraries.
2:45 – 3:45 PM
Quiet Reading Hour
We’ll wind down with a full hour of collective silence to read under the sky. Bring your current favorite, a new book you’re dying to start, or grab something from the swap.
3:45 – 4:00 PM
Closing Moments
A soft, informal goodbye. Stick around to chat or exchange contacts with someone you connected with.
Included:
A small book-related gift for every attendee
A photo op/selfie station to remember the moment
The chance to meet new friends, local creatives, and small biz owners
A feel-good community experience rooted in stories and connection
Why We’re Gathering
Read Outta Line is hosted by Kinda Outta Line Art & Photography, a brand built for the bold, the kind, and the curious. We believe in creating safe, inclusive spaces where women can connect, express themselves, and just exist together without pressure. This event brings together our love for books, creativity, community, and a little rebellion against the ordinary.
This event is free and open to all women—bring your favorite read, a blanket, a book or two to swap, and an open heart.
